Spinal Manipulation Recommended for Back
Pain…Chiropractors are Experienced
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality 2020 Report states
that spinal manipulation is one of the effective, non-invasive,
non-pharmacological treatments for low back pain relief that improved
function and/or pain for over a month. (1) Yoga, exercise, psychotherapy,
low-level laser therapy, massage, MBSR, acupuncture made
the list. The chiropractic profession encompasses back pain
specialists who competently deliver spinal
manipulation. Chiropractic education concentrates on the management
of spine pain and delivery of spinal manipulation. Many people think
of chiropractic for back pain relief. Twenty-two million
Americans visit chiropractors each year. 35% do that
for back pain relief after accidents, sports
injuries, and muscle strains. Neck pain, arm pain, leg pain, and headache
are other spine related problems people for which they visit chiropractors. (2) 15% of Australians go to
a chiropractor annually. (3) 4.5 million Canadians see
a chiropractor each year. (4) Chiropractors like your

Fernandina Beach CHIROPRACTIC TIP OF THE MONTH: Strengthen the Quadratus Lumborum
The quadratus lumborum – a quadrilateral-shaped muscle - is
a paired muscle on the left and right side of the abdominal
wall. It is a deep muscle and typically thought
of as a back muscle as it extends from the upper 4 lumbar vertebrae to the 12th rib. When
contracted, the quadratus lumborum causes lateral flexion
of the lumbar spine and/or rise of the pelvis. (5) Several bridge-type exercises are being examined as to how they strengthen the quadratus lumborum’s 2
layers of muscle in order for it to best add to the motor
control of the lumbar pain and prevent back pain. (6) Amelia Chiropractic Clinic
and you can talk about how your spine may benefit from such
exercise at your next Fernandina Beach chiropractic visit to Amelia Chiropractic Clinic.
